From 9 to 14 November, NDF will join COP31 in Antalya, Türkiye, to champion nature-positive finance and solutions that deliver for both climate and nature.

From 9 to 20 November, the UN Climate Conference (COP31) will bring together world leaders and climate actors in Antalya, Türkiye, to advance global climate action. This year, the focus will be on turning commitments made at recent COPs into measurable progress, particularly in adaptation, resilience, and clean energy access. Against the backdrop of current global developments, the need to move from commitments to implementation is more urgent than ever. At the Nordic Pavilion at COP31, NDF will bring partners together around innovative climate solutions and showcase tangible contributions to a sustainable future.

“As a Nordic international finance institution, representing one of the most closely integrated regions of the world, this is NDF’s message to COP: We must act together, with speed, and deliver climate finance where it is needed most,” says Satu Santala, NDF Managing Director.

Collaboration is key to achieving goals

With Nordic expertise in climate and development at our core, we are determined to contribute to finding new and better ways to mobilise public and private capital for solutions that deliver benefits to climate, nature, and people.

As collaboration is key to achieving our goals, we will work closely with our partners throughout COP31. On 12 November 2026, together with the Investment Mobilisation Collaboration Alliance (IMCA), we will organise the event ‘Mobilising climate finance at scale: Dragons' Den for Catalytic Investment’. Climate-focused funds will pitch their investment ideas to a panel of public and private financiers, donors, and development finance institutions. The interactive format will open up a practical discussion on risk, scale and impact, and explore what investors need to unlock capital for climate-focused investments.

On Finance Day, 13 November 2026, NDF will organise another event, ‘Nature-positive climate finance – Towards investable reality’, at the Nordic Pavilion. We will convene partners working across nature-positive and adaptation finance and highlight concrete investment opportunities at the nexus of climate and development. Building on the Nordic Climate Dialogues 2026, the event will explore practical partnerships and financing approaches for scaling climate-resilient, nature-positive solutions.

“Together, we have the possibility to speed up finance to benefit communities who are most at risk, and to support healthier, functional natural systems, which are fundamental to our collective future,” Satu Santala adds.
