We welcome new staff members
We are happy to share that our NDF team is expanding with two new staff members, Päivi Kuitunen and Anne-Laurence Hamer.
NDF welcomes two new staff members, who will contribute to strengthen the organisation’s work and increased visibility.

Päivi Kuitunen
Päivi takes up the position of Senior Counsel within the Legal and Administrative Services department at NDF. Prior to this, she worked in the legal department of the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) for over a year, supporting lending and treasury operations. Having graduated from the University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Law, Päivi brings over 30 years of experience in financing and capital markets from her work in banks, industry and law firms. She has also worked in Finnfund for couple of years. Päivi is a Finnish national and she speaks Finnish, English and Swedish.
“I know from my earlier experience with Finnfund that financing emerging markets is highly motivating both because of the mission and the complexity of the market. It is super interesting to work with people representing different expertise and I look forward to working here,” says Päivi.
Anne-Laurence Hamer
Anne-Laurence joins NDF as a Communications Officer in the Strategy, Outreach and Communications department. Previously, she worked in media analysis at the European Parliament’s Media Intelligence Unit. With a background in linguistics, cultural management and media studies, Anne-Laurence has worked in communications for multiple organisations including the United Nations and the French Human Rights League. In parallel, she has been a freelance graphic designer for organisations such as NDF, the University of Helsinki, and Indigenous NGOs in French Guiana. Originally from France, Anne-Laurence speaks English, French and German, and is learning Finnish.
“Amid the global green transition, communication plays a vital role in building trust, fostering partnerships, and translating complex challenges into compelling stories. I look forward to contributing to NDF’s mission by translating climate and development challenges into stories that inspire action and support those most vulnerable to climate change impacts,” says Anne-Laurence.
